Conducting systematic case studies is a natural and easy to understand way to generate and communicate knowledge about the psychotherapeutic process and outcomes. In our team, we develop this research format in a variety of contexts. In 2015, we began a series of case studies aimed at understanding the processes of psychotherapeutic change in depressed clients and linking these to significant moments in psychotherapy, both from the client and therapist perspective. We followed by conducting a series of case studies in the context of psychosomatic problems. To collect data, we collaborate with psychotherapists in clinical departments, as well as private practices.
